Academic Report:Design Theory & Methods and Self-Organizing Systems

In 09:30 am, October 4, 2013, adopted by the invitation of school of Mechanical science and engineering, Prof. Jin Yan from South California Universitymade a report titled " Design Theory & Methods and Self-Organizing Systems "in room 529, Nanling machinery material hall. The report was led by Professor Kong Fansen, head of the Department of Industrial Engineering Department of mechanical engineering, College of mechanical engineering.Some teachers and students attended the meeting.

Professor Jin Yan's report is divided into two parts. In the first part, Professor Jin put forward several concepts to bring the students into consideration. Professor Jin respectively discussed on the design of cognitive, design methodology, bionic design, computer aided design and design process of the concept of the introduction of the control. In the second part, Professor Jin has carried on the thorough explanation to the design methodology. Through the introduction of Professor Jin, we can see, design is the center of the society, a qualified design is set of inspiration, creativity, comprehensive ability, design thinking, portfolio decision-making, reasoning and analysis as a whole, which also makes teachers and students in the audience to recognize the importance of mastering the design method.

Professor Jin’s report was with humorous language, simple and vivid examples. The audience has a further understanding to explore the field of vision and the benefit.
