“Engineering Graphics” is a discipline basic course, mainly studying drawing and reading engineering drawing. This course not only has systematic theory but also has strong  practicality and  technicality. Designing and manufacturing process or other project construction cannot do without engineering drawing. Well during making use of machines and equipments, people comprehend the structures and performance by reading working drawings. Hence, engineering drawings are very important tools to express and communicate design ideas, and are important technical files of project technical department. The course “Engineering Graphics” mainly cultivates students’ abilities of reading and drawing engineering drawing, the ability of spacial imagination，standard consciousness and engineering consciousness, and also CAD technique . At the same time, the contents of “Engineering Graphics” course are basic knowledge of subsequent course-related synthetic-training and graduation project. “Engineering Graphics (Bilingual)” mainly includes the basic theories and the applications of projection method(mainly orthographic projection method), methods of drawing and reading views of solids, representation methods of machine parts, drawing and reading detail drawings and assembly drawings of machine parts. Through learning the course, students should also have good command on representation methods of standard parts and commonly used parts, know how to consult related National Standard, improve project practice ability.
