Electromechanical Product Structure is a basic required course for undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Industrial Engineering. In this course, students can learn the knowledge about the scope and the component of the typical electromechanical product .the relationship between motion and transmission, the structure characteristics and design concept of the component is also studied. Through the lessons and the practice, the course lies a good foundation for the follow-up professional course and course design.

The focus of the course is as follow:

1. Learn the knowledge of the transmission for the metal cutting machine tool. Through theoretical teaching and dismantling typical mechanical equipment, its overall layout, composition and the assembly relation.

2. Master the movement of all kinds of mechanical equipment and the method to realize the motion, study its transmission and structure design. Understand its principle of work, structure characteristics and design ideas through mapping typical mechanism.

3. Understand the working principle, processing range, composition, transmission, structural feature and assembly relationship of CNC and machining center. Study the characteristic of wire-electrode cutting and wire-electrode cutting.

4. Combine theory and practice, classroom learning and factory practice, cultivate and improve students' ability to analyze and solve problems.
