Biography of Wang Guoqiang

Dr. Guoqiang Wang, born in April 1965, received his B.Eng., M.S. degree and Ph.D from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Jilin University of Technology, Changchun City, P.R. of China in 1985, 1988 and 1994 respectively. From Jun 1988 to Jun 2000, He worked in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Jilin University of technology. He became associate Professor in Sept. 1994, and became Professor in Sept. 1997. From Jun 2000 to Dec.2003, He is Professor of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering of Jilin University. From Jan. 1997 to Jan 1998, He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Freiberg University of Mining Technology, Germany. From Dec.2003 to Dec.2004 he is visiting scholar in the Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Victoria, Canada. He has finished many research projects supported by "863" High Technology Fund of China, Jilin Science and Technology Foundation. Up to now he has published over 200 papers in journals and edited 7 books. He is executive member of the council of the Chinese Heavy Machinery Association.
